The Ortigas Center is one of the newer business districts north of Makati. A lot of businessmen have started holding office in Ortigas because of its central location, making it a gateway to the Eastern Rizal province. It is also within easy reach of the affluent residential communities in San Juan, Mandaluyong, and Pasig.
The main streets in the Ortigas Center include Julia Vargas, Ortigas Rd. (formerly Emerald Ave.), and Meralco Avenues.
