Location

Montecito is located in Nuvali Central in Canlubang, Laguna – accessible via SLEX thru: Mamplasan, Sta. Rosa, Greenfield , Eton and Silangan Exit 2.

Features and Amenities

There are two existing lakes in Montecito, with almost a kilometer-long shoreline that provides a venue for soothing walks. The smaller lake is a “utility lake” and is used for the irrigation system. The larger lake, about 2 hectares big and 3 meters deep, is fed by a spring from the Tagaytay ridges. It powers the mini-hydroelectric plant that lights some roads in the community.

Lake Areas

  • Larger lake is about two hectares big and 3 meters deep; is continuously fed by fresh water from “Matang Tubig” (Artesian spring coming from the ridges of Tagaytay). Runs at a rate of 3,000 Gallons per minute –strong enough to power the mini-hydroelectric plant that lights some roads.
  • Currently filled with fish – tilapia
  • No motorized boats or the like will be allowed
  • Walkways around the lake for strolling and walking
  • Two gazebos

Unique to Montecito are “Greenways”, or common grounds shared by two rows of homes and accessible from one’s own backyard. This open space, which ranges from 5-30 meters in width, encourages interaction among neighbors.

Pasa Tiempo, the ancestral Yulo home, will be converted into Montecito’s social and activity center by renowned Filipino architect Leandro Locsin. It will feature a social hall, gym, meditation and treatment rooms, swimming pool, basketball court, village kitchen, verandah, library, game rooms, function areas and wellness facilities. Also available for residents is a private chapel and a tree and plant nursery–perfect for gardening enthusiasts!

The Nursery

  • Intended as a working nursery, it provides plant sources for the property and residents alike
  • Aside from the wide variety of vines, shrubs and trees, the nursery includes a large storage area for developing plant material.
  • A forested area will be planted by allowing a selection of trees to reach maturity in the vicinity of the nursery
  • Source for landscaping of the greenways

  • Security roads - not open to vehicular traffic except for security; only bike trails and skating lanes provided

  • Water facilities : two deep wells that provide water and two reservoirs that have a total volume of 730 cubic meters.

  • Meter centers (for each row of houses, in place of electric posts)
  • Sewerage Treatment Plant – located by the lake and is aesthetically-pleasing as well as odor-free
  • Telephone Lines / Cable Lines – all utilities are underground
  • Meter Centers are landscaped  with vines
  • No big transformers (located in meter centers instead)
  • Administration Center
  • Security monitoring (main barracks of the guard force)
